Sunday afternoon, my daughter and I will be at Angels stadium to watch the USA and Japan. Should be fun, although I won't be able to read the anti-A-Rod signs if they're in Japanese! Another problem -- the weather forecast is for low 50's and rain.
I attended the WBC games in Anaheim. Jeter and A-Rod get to go back to spring training now, and they played as if that is exactly where they want/need to be. Joe Nathan looked bad against Japan (the umps took him off the hook), then good against Mexico -- typical spring training performances. Dennys Reyes looked pretty good for Mexico, and Juan Castro was slapping the ball around. All in all, it was fun.
Glad to hear you had such a good time, Jim. It looked like there was an October kind of atmosphere at most of the WBC games. Maybe next time, the US players and executives will get into the spirit of the event too, and take the tournament more seriously.

Love it! The signs might be an added level to the WBC: anti-Castro, anti-ARod, etc.
And look at the 8 teams left. Korea and Mexico might be the least-regarded of the remaining teams, but they won their pools.
I hope I can catch enough of these games...

Oh, well -- surf's up at Manhattan Beach!
And we'll be rootin' for Joe Nathan.
