Lucy, after adopting the new kitten this week, we have 5 cats now. I am sad to say that Gusto is no longer with us; she passed on earlier this winter. I still like to share pictures of her, however, because she was such a beautiful, smart and personable creature, a true gift to us. She also was an incredible camera hog. A born film star. I swear she must be in at least 85% of the pictures I've taken in the last few years. Not counting ballparks, her share might be even greater than 95%. After a few weekends, it would become difficult to post older pictures of the other cats without including her.
So Gusto lives on in our hearts, and in catblogging. In her memory, we also plan to set up a charitable foundation to help care for other cats. Watch for announcements here over the next few months. We hope to have an operation set up by summertime.
