Penguins
From the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago...
The streaks that look like rain are just water on the glass.
Why do penguins spread their wings like that, when they can't fly?
To cool off!
There was a penguin youngin' in the group, seen above on the top level between the other two on the left. He was getting close to full size, but still had his downy fuzz coat. He's also in the picture below, just to the right of the yellow broom head.

Sweet pics. When I lived in Indianapolis the penguin and polar bear exibits were always my favorites at the zoo.
What I love about the Shedd is the bleachers that you can sit on and just watch the penguins all day long. Obviously the designers of the aquarium knew how hypnotic and endlessly entertaining penguins are. There should really be a 24-hour Penguin channel on network television- I think we'd be a more peaceful nation as a result.
Love the series of photos from Chicago. Makes me want to go back and enjoy some time there.
Fright! Penguins are my favorite! Thanks!
