Where's Kitten? Hiding Like a Diva

Izzy is hiding under the desk at the moment, so today's edition of catblogging will feature my other cats. We will have to wait for more kittenblogging later this weekend.

First, here's Pearl peeking around the corner on the stairway....

Next, our other calico Abigail, sleeping in a favorite spot on the porch....

A classic O'Malley pose in the kitchen....

Finally, a couple of Ornette on the desk....

You see he likes big, flat spaces, and obstructing the area in front of my keyboard is often a choice location.

Isabella is back at full energy, and even seems to be walking taller and straighter than before. When we adopted her, she had problems with her back legs which the vets thought was either a skeletal deformity or a neurological disorder; but the surgery to the liver shunt seems to have corrected it. Maybe it was a circulation problem, or related to bile acids in the blood. Who knows, but it's good.

The boys and Pearl are doing well, too.

Abigail, however, is feeling ill. We're getting test results in to fix on the problem and what we can do for her, but it's looking like her feline leukemia could be catching up to her.

Pearl has such a cute wary look on her face, like she's peeking around the corner to make sure the bratty kitten isn't waiting to ambush her. Are Ornette's eyes blue? Such pretty kitties!

Pearl actually is checking to see if anyone is waiting to ambush her, because O'Malley or Isabella often will run at her when she comes downstairs, chasing her behind the TV or back up the steps.

Ornette's eyes change colors from time to time. They can be blue, or yellow, or green, and sometimes yellow and green forming concentric circles like he's been hypno-tized. It's true. I kid you not. It's just one of several signs that he is most likely a cat from outer space, sent to spy on us and record our ways.
